John L Fitzhugh dies at Rolla

John L. Fitzhugh, aged 80 years, died at five o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home of his brother, Ben Fitzhugh, after an illness of several weeks.  Deceased, who was reared in Arkansas, had made his home in Texas with a daughter several years, and had been here on a visit since July.  He was a member of the Methodist church at Husky Creek, and is survived by three children; Mrs Ella Jones of Honey Grove, TX, Mrs. A.N. Todd of Ladonia, TX, and Mrs Polly Woods of Oklahoma, and one son, Will Fitzhugh and a brother Ben Fitzhugh of Rolla.
Funeral services were held at ten o'clock this morning with burial at Fitzhugh Cemetery at Husky Creek.  Rev. Johnson was in charge of the sevices.


John and Ben Fitzhugh were brothers to my 2nd great grandfather Ezekial Harrison Fitzhugh.
