Richard Murphy was married to Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzie" Little on October 27, 1859 in Sevier County Arkansas. They are enumerated in the county on each census from 1860 until 1900. No natural children were ever named in the census, but there was an adopted daughter named Fannie listed in 1880.
Quite an impressive monument for a couple of Arkansas pioneers.
